pic_area_6.jpgLocated on the banks of the Delaware River, Lambertville was first settled in 1705. Until 1814, it was known as Coryell's Ferry and was a vital link for both stagecoach and river transportation for the emerging nation. Today, the scenic countryside of Hunterdon County in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania retains much of the history and charm from those early Colonial days.

pic_welcome_2.jpg Seasonal color, a vibrant culture, distinctive shopping and easy accessibility to metropolitan centers combine to make the rolling hills surrounding Lambertville a singularly distinctive destination. Both Hunterdon and Bucks Counties provide a multitude of activities for a wide range of tastes and activity levels. Lambertville offers galleries, shops, restaurants and bistros of all types. It is a town that invites leisurely strolling along the well-trodden canal towpath and past period homes, down streets and avenues that echo years gone by.

The surrounding countryside is dotted with classic stone farmhouses, covered bridges, equestrian centers, parks, lakes and nature trails. A short walk across the Delaware River Bridge is the village of New Hope, Lambertville NJ and New Hope PA town pictureshome of the world-renowned Bucks County Playhouse, the State Theater of Pennsylvania. New Hope abounds with hundreds of specialty shops, eateries and eclectic art galleries, as well as memorable experiences cruising the river and canal, enjoying the authentic New Hope & Ivyland Steam Railway or ballooning at dawn or sunset.
